HECS Eddy Current Magnetic Separator Operation & Maintenance Guide
1. Installation & Commissioning
Secure your Eddy Current Metal Separator to level concrete (≤0.5° incline) using expansion bolts. Welded embedded plates are recommended for optimal stability.
Input: Connect AC 415V 3-phase + N (3×6mm² + 1×2.5mm²) to L1/L2/L3/N terminals in control cabinet.
Output: Wire to conveyor motor, Eddy Current Magnetic Separator rotor motor, and cooling fan.
2. Operation
▪ Startup: Press START button → Check belt tracking. Adjust tail pulley bearings (Ref Doc 7) if misaligned.
▪ Optimization:
Belt Tension: Adjust until 10-15mm deflection under thumb pressure.
Splitter Plate: Test with sample material → Adjust angle based on ejection trajectory.
Rotor Speed: Rotate potentiometer clockwise to increase Eddy Current Magnetic Separator speed.
3. Maintenance
▪ Routine:
Lubricate bearings bi-weekly (NLGI 3 summer / 1-2 winter).
Clean metal fragments from belt surface to prevent eddy current burns.
▪ Storage: Protect rotor, motors & bearings from moisture when storing your Eddy Current Non Ferrous Metal Separator.
▪ WARNING: PROHIBITED – Feeding significant ferrous materials. Causes belt damage and destroys non-magnetic roller.
